These are two samples produced when experimenting with what used to be called broomstick lace. The stretching and pinning of the edges for blocking and steaming accentuate the different properties and tactile qualities of the two yarns - one is handspun lambswool, the other a silk/cashmere blend - and suggest applications for each. #broomstick lace #shortrows #handspun wool #finishing #commonthreads
