SUE GREIG (1953-2018)

Sue was a weaver based in Sheffield, who always enjoyed dabbling in drawing, painting and print making, and in making things from yarn and cloth.  She studied ecology and had a love of the natural environment, especially the landscapes of the Lake District and of the west coast of Scotland.  These enthusiasms provided the inspiration for much of her weaving. She considered the Bradford course a joyful opportunity to develop as a weaver, to learn design skills and to apply herself to the technical challenges of translating design ideas into successful textiles. She is sorely missed, but her ideas, style and yarn choices still influence the rest of the group's work.
