Introducing... Margot
I'm Margot, and I am a knitter. My mother taught me knitting and dressmaking early, and my grandmother introduced me to crochet and lace making, although these never had the same place in my heart. Throughout my career, spare time and necessary inspiration came from creating garments or playing with some form of knitting as a complete change from dealing with other people's problems.
I have wanted to do the Bradford course for a long time; being accepted was a landmark for me, and the start of a marvellous journey into the world of design rather than just craft. I am fascinated by the potential for creating 3D knitted fabrics, and the exploration of the more arcane and wonderful technical yarns and techniques. I want to set up my own label, and generally make unique pieces for my own satisfaction and the satisfaction of those who buy them. But first, to finish the course!
