Dress, Silk, lace, pearl c.1870⠀ Made by Alexander Scott, Crown Street Halifax⠀ ⠀ This exquisite dress is on display in Bankfield Museum’s new Costume Gallery. I find it fascinating the information the museum gives for these pieces, acknowledging the makers as well as the wearers. ⠀ ⠀ This dress in particular caught my eye. From a distance it looks quite simple but when you look closely you can see so much intricate detail.
