#SeptTextileLove Day 1: Introduction

So, this is us, Common Threads. We met whilst studying Contemporary Constructed Textiles part time at Bradford School of Art in 2015. During the course, Margot specialised in machine knitting whilst Sue, Fiona, Lin and I specialised in weave, but like most textile junkies, we aren’t limited to one area. We have a big exhibition coming next month, and in preparation for that we had some photos taken professionally earlier this summer. This is my favourite from the shoot because to me, it epitomises everything about Common Threads; we take our work seriously, but never ourselves, and these women have a very special place in my life and my heart.
